I'm happy with it thanks, but some people don't want it there. Just like any other small Confluence feature, the likelyhood is that it's a plugin an add-on, so can be disabled in the admin section. It can.

1. Browse to Confluence Administration | Manage Add-ons
2. Search for "Like" in "All add-ons"
3. Click the disable button
